I just ran into a guy yesterday that said a glo bug is the ticked to the Illinois river. He did not give out any locations though. Since it is a river with very deep holes, I would think a slip bobber set up and a glo bug or jig would do the trick.

what would be the best way to keep the glow bug down under the bobber? Ive tried to fish the whole bobber and jig thing but i cant figure it out :( ive watched a lot of videos and read how to do it but i couldnt get it to work. i guess i should try to get one technique down before i try and do another. It looks like it is a real succesfull method for you guys though so its probably a technique that i should learn.

Thank you
patrick

Either use one that have dumb bell eyes or use a split shot 6 inches above it. :-?
