Fly and Jig Tying Tools

As K-Dog has forecasted the onset of my new addiction, I had already begun to muddle in the tool requirements to get myself started...or deeeeepppppper into the steelhead chasm. @-)

In my search, I happened upon a local establishment (Avon, Ohio) that manufactures and distributes tools, supplies and components via Craiglist, which is a national E-Bay equivalent based on personal wanted / sales ads. The company name is Integra America. http://www.integraamerica.biz

The reason why I am posting is that the company deals on a wholesale level exclusively, but does open to the public locally for a very short period of time (1 -2 weeks) each year to move some of its inventory. :-? I intend to visit their facility tomorrow (03-10) to see what they have to offer and what packages they can produce at what costs. From what I understand, the prices at this time are fractional in comparison to the regular.

I will pose the suggestion that some out of state acquaintances may have some interests in materials just to see if he'd be willing to entertain the possibility without my making any commitments.

I thought that you may have some curiosities since some of you are hobbyists and the master stalkers are in the mass production of hardware. ;) Check out the site and let me know if you are in the market for expansion.

I saw there were no replies, but indicated that I'd follow up with the information. If there was any confusion, the company was legit and my Craigslist reference was merely the vehicle in which I found this group. However, I understand the reluctance to shop cross country. I have no allegiance to Integra, but I was pleased with the good nature of my contact and his willingness to share information. His name is Corey Smith and can be contacted via website on previous posting.

The vise, although simple, is his high end product.

The package in the picture pretty much represents everything I was set up with.

The supplies were complimentary. He had some materials he sold in package. The supplies were limited as he couldn't compete with those that produce hackle, feather, fur, etc.

I lost some of the product when I scaled the pictures. This is what I got; vise, needle nose pliers, forceps, hackle pliers, 4 bobbins, threader, 3 (large/small/micro) scissors, stacker, cement and stick, whip finisher, tweezers and glue shields.

Although I was somewhat pesimistic at first, the experience ended up being the deal I couldn't pass up. I walked out spending $95. If it helps, your reference would be; John Kozlowski, Brecksville, Ohio.

It sounded as though he'd extend the offers for a few more weeks!
