Our biggest fish was 27 inches and weighed around 7 lbs!
Many others were in the 24 inch range.

All fish came on jerkbaits of various brands casted at the bank.

Daniel even hooked a 22 inch rainbow on the same type of lure. There are some massive rainbows in Wickiup!

I finished off the trifecta of Wickiup Reservoir species with an aggressive Kokanee that slammed my lure.

I also lost one we estimate to be 12+ pounds that railed my lure then took line off my reel so fast it felt like a steelhead. Its one of those fish that feels like a stump when you pull up. It broke my 8lb like butter and later we saw it swim under our boat with the lure hanging out of its mouth. It was a true hog, I will be back next year to get him!
We will have a Video Episode of the trip online in a few days. Now time for some Fall Chinook fishing.
