I was invited to go fish with my uncle and grandpa at Klamath Lake yesterday and jumped at the chance. I have heard stories about big fish but Daniel and I have not had a chance to try it out. I had talked to a few people who said that the big rainbows search the banks for minnows to eat so I knew exactly what I was going to use!!

We had a fun day of fishing and even caught one!! I landed this nice, fat 23 inch redband trout after about three hours of fishing!! I would guess it was four pounds but fought like a much larger fish! The water looked like a blown out river and was chocolate color with only a foot at most of visibility. We saw a few fish jumping and splashing and it got me excited because they were the size of respectable steelhead! No one else that we talked to had caught any fish so I was happy we at least got one.

What a fat trout!! This fish fought like a steelhead making lots of jumps and pulled drag off my light steelhead rod. We will be going back to make a full Video Episode with these huge rainbows for sure. What a beautiful lake.
