Here are some pictures of the weekend. This first one is our camp site which was prime for catching big fish.

Big fish of the weekend around 24+ inches!

A 20 incher we had to keep because it swallowd a spoon on the troll!
Some of the scenery here is amazing!
A nice large colored up trout being released. There are two strains of trout in this lake, the one in the picture below is a klamath lake strain that was planted to keep non native fish eaten. These guys are meat eaters and were acting like steelhead so we had to change our tacktics to get them to bite. One of which came on a 6inch pink worm. Where would Daniel be without it.

A beautiful Daimond Lake sunset from our camp site.

Another big colored up trout caught on 2 lb test flouro. We used 2 lb exclusively and it makes a huge difference up here with the spooky fish. I lost 5, 20+ inch trout including one closer to 26 inches because of it but its worth it being able to hook them.

We fished every technique imaginable but ended up doing best with our special still fishing technique along with trolling. We also caught a few on the float and jig/fly combo but with the change in weather the bug bite was not good. Even the best fly guys out there were struggling to get into fish. This is very rare at Diamond Lake and has probably already changed as the bugs were starting to hatch better as we were leaving. I am finishing up a video right now on two techniques that we used up there to slay the trout and will let you guys know when it is done. All in all a great weekend with lots of sun and trout.
