West Fork Millicoma

Postby Coastal on Mon Jan 18, 2010 1:23 am

I was up there today and the recent rain had brought it up about a foot or two above last weekend. Even so, it was in pretty good shape. Anyway, I'm pretty new to all this, having only caught steelhead plunking last year. So I was trying out a bobber setup with a pink worm thanks to much of the info I've learned from this site. And I finally made the hook up with a live steelie! I thought I had caught bottom, that's how much I know, but eventually the fish made himself known! After a good fight on my woefully underpowered trout rod I brought it to the bank - of course I didn't have a net either. Several people were catching fish as well, and they were splashing around as I fished. I'd say conditions are pretty good although I don't have a lot of experience.
