Umpqua Springers

Postby archer on Tue Apr 28, 2009 7:48 am

Well, I've heard there are decent numbers going over Winchester right now, and that there are some stacked up below the damn in the deep holes, where ever that is, I've never drifted the stretch below Winchester, but would like to.

Well it's a backbouncing show ,spinning reels and jigs are out. Most of the savy fisherman get one fish every 30 hours of fishing time.River level and temp. are important.Below Wincheter dam is what I am alking about, fish are rarely caught above the dam until you get to Glide.

Thats a lot of fishing per fish. Does anyone target the springers above Winchester? I know they fish for them heavily up by glide, but I've never heard of anyone targenting them in bewteen.
