Thought I would put this up here for those who did not see it elsewhere. We wanted to hit up the Coast for some winter steelhead today but decided since the rivers are frozen solid to head out for some summer steelhead. The water was lower than it normally is in the summer and was very clear. We fished a few spots with nothing to show except ice on the guides and frozen noses. Then my float shot under in a fishy spot much like it does when a trout bites!
This fish made a quick run and then just gave up. He was as cold as me!
For you guys around Eugene, Oregon Rod Reel and Tackle has about three of these pink ones left. Next week should be the official start of the winter steelhead season with the rain. Oh yeah I cant wait!
nice work! totally jealous. got next week off and cant wait till i get on the river. combine elk scouting for my buddies late season tag and metal fishin! will report back. again congrats
What a treat, nice job! Would there be a chance that your jigs might show up for sale at the Fisherman's Corner? Going to the Alsea monday, will let you know how I did or didn't. On the Little N. fork Dave,
Where is fisherman's corner? I am going to try and keep them in just a few places here and there. I have the Eugene area covered, now I need something in southern Oregon and Portland area, maybe a few in between. Let us know how you do!
You don't need to sell your jigs in southern Oregon. You should keep them up north. They don't work for people down here SSSHHHHHH we don't like competition
Chad, The Fishermans Corner is in downtown Philomath on hwy 20 about 3/4ml b4 the hwy 34 cutoff to Waldport. Thought I had the phone # in my cell to give you. It's a neat little tackel store, lots of custome spinners and locally crafted jigs, a little of everything. From the looks of your packageing and the fact that you can show them catching on the Alsea, in HD, I can't see them say'n no.
