He said guides stopped fishing that area about a week ago and have moved down river to where the fish are biting so we should have the river to ourselves. I said if there are fish up there then we can catch them. He promised they are around so we went for it! Here are some pics of the day of fishing. It was so beautiful outside all day too. Daniels first and second fish ate the Black Hybrid Micro Jig!

My nice native buck!

The biggest fish of the day fell for the Pink Hybrid Micro Jig!

This fish was 35 inches and took the Pink Hybrid Micro Jig above!

What a great day on the water fishing the conditions we love! Big thanks to Mike Fairchild of Northwest Guide Service for letting us fish our style and not make us sidedrift!
He knows the river very well and if you are interested in fishing with him the Coquille will be fishing well for the next couple of weeks then he heads over to the North Umpqua in March! We have a very cool video of the day in the process of being made.

that's the great thing about fishing so close to the salt. CHROMERS!!

You could see the bottom pretty much everywhere except a few spots and even then it would be hard to side drift. You could anchor up and drift fish it though. My big buck did come on RGB under a float.
