Went with a couple of my die hard side drifting buddies today below G.P.
First fish of the day was on a pink Reeltech special! I am beginning to like these toys. Bobbber down.

We found a loaded up tailout towards the end of our drift and were able to land 6/7 fish today. 1 hatchery and the rest natives. 4 on bait and another on the pink jig.

Sorry, no pics, but as good a day as I have seen this year so far. Guess I better go try again tomorrow.

Just spoke to George, he confirmed it was on the pink/orange mouse At the end of the conversation, he said "Im about runnin' out of em too"..............back to the tying bench

Its nice when you find a jig that you have complete confidence in!!

Well we ran a little further downriver today.
The jigs got a bunch of watertime, however it was a bait kind of a day. 5 for 2 boats with lots of 1/2 lbers in the mix. Down by Mary we got into a bunch of squaw fish, so we fed the newly returned ospreys well.

Good for you guys Some people do the same thing with smallmouth on the umqua in the summer

CHAD........OH NO.........not the Smallmouth, they are my friends. A fine adversary on light line
I know I know, they are voracious eaters of everything, including salmon and steelhead smolt........but ya gotta love em
