We were able to get out in our new drift boat last Sunday and actually got into some fish. =)) Thats a good sign for us and a not so good sign for steelhead coming this winter. We hooked two bright chrome Chinook pulling plugs which was a miracle in its self because it was our first time pulling plugs and they were un-proven kwikfish. Both of those fish got off but Daniel got one to stay on long enough to net later in the day. It came on bobber and eggs. What a great day on the water. \M/

I was pretty lucky on that fish. The float went down and I swung for the fence, but there was nothing there. I was a bit confused, so I started reeling in, and all the sudden something was shaking its head on the other end. It wasn't the most graceful hook up, but the first swing buried the 4/0 sickle in its tongue, and it wasn't coming out. It was a fun fight on the 10 1/2 float rod.
