We were invited to go out with Todd Harrington of Living Waters Guide Service to try and get an Umpqua River Springer on video. He said it can be slow at times and you never know how Spring Chinook are going to act that day. He said we could also fish pre-spawn small mouth bass but as you guessed we passed on that.
Although this time a year is when all the big guys are out and they are angery! The average sm this time a year is 3lbs and they get them up to 6+ lbs. Well this day turned out to be incredible and the video that came from it even more. Here is a short pictoral on how the day went! After about an hour of no luck Todd changed out the outside plug to a more subtle color and it paid off as he was letting the plug back out! Bam fish on!

Back on anchor and let that same plug out on the outside rod and... you guessed it.

Well this just kept happening.

Cant get much better than this!

After we got tired of catching Springers we went out for some small mouth bass action.

Just a peek at one reason that this video will be one of the best fishing videos we have ever done and probably the best you will ever see!

If anyone wants to get out and fish for these amazing Umpqua River Spring Chinook you can get a hold of Todd Harrington below. He has a very special place and the section of river he is fishing no one else has access to providing you a great experience away from the crowds.
