Put a long hard hunting season looking for a big blacktail. Never pulled the trigger, but I was able to spend several days out in the Oregon woods. Learned some new country and looking forward to next year
Finally I can concentrate on fishing again.........WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO!!! Hit the Chetco this past weekend with some good friends. Fishing was tough as the water was getting lower and clearer with each day. Sat there was a gaggle of boats out there and fishing was slow. My buddy Alan got 3 jacks to the boat and had a freight train of a salmon take him for a ride. Sharp teeth decided the winner of that battle
Sunday saw 1/5 the boats of Saturday and lower and clearer conditions. I was fortunate enough to prevail in this battle. What a fight it was. Stoked..........my biggest, meanest looking one yet!!!
My buddy Alan hooked a nice bright 20# approx fish right at the takeout at SS Bar. He fought that fish perfectly, the hook decided it wanted to come out before we took it out with pliers
Fishing was tough but there was fish to be had. The weather was absolutely beautiful on the coast. Good friends and a great weekend.
Man Im so excited for the winter Steelhead season. Back into fishing mode fellas
