Daniel and I took a friend out that has been wanting to do some fishing. He doesn't get to go fishing much anymore and used to fish a lot when he was younger. He had a great time and got to fight six salmon one of them a possible Chinook that came unbuttoned, all before noon!
He ended up having to go home and its to bad because that's when the bite turned on! Four doubles later and one massive coho we where at 19 fish to the boat and over 28 hooked! Everytime I think it cant get any better it does. Got to check out a lot of new water so it was a great day on the water. I lost one to a seal that we think was a Chinook, much bigger than the massive Coho I hooked. We did win the fight with a few seals and actually got back one of the silvers that was a HATCHERY! Talk about finding a needle in a hay stack.
This was the massive coho that I caught, we estimate it to be pushing 20 lbs, its girth was incredible, no video of the fight because Daniel was fighting another 12 lb silver at the same time.
This was the one in a million hatchery coho that we fought a seal for! :dance:
Lots of fun, cant wait to get back.
