Im back from alaska and ready to put what I learned to the test... And I learned that spoons are easier to snag fish with... but thats not what I've been doing. haha.
Went with Jon last wednesday and I finally know what a true salmon bite looks like and its f'in amazing.
We started off back bouncing roe and of course I did the newbie to fishin in a boat thing and stood there when a bigger squawfish hammered the eggs. 
Moved down to another hole, using kwikies, and missd one right off the bat, missed another..................... missed another.
One was lost due to me smacking the lever on the reel, another was because i didnt realize one grabbed it when i was reeling it in...
next three on the rod i was using ended up in the boat. Ended up with 4 for 10. And this was my biggest fish kept so far on the rogue! Cant wait to fish with Jon again!!!
hehehe You did great man!!! The steelhead have another thing to worry about this winter... The Egg will be out with an entire arsenal
