Mt. Hood Pond/Mt. Hood Community College
I must have driven past this pond a thousand times before I found out that it was there. ODFW stocked the pond last week with some (Rainbows) legals and I thought I would give it a try since I have not fished for the last 28 years and every time I have gone steelhead'n around the Clackamas I've came home with my head hung low. I was there for about three hours and saw three fish landed and not a single bite on my pole.
I'll probably head back there sunday and try my luck again and hopefully post a pic or two.

That's right or you can fish them bare too, both work!! Another thing to try it this (fishing-tips-tricks/trout-fishing-using-gulp-eggs-t14.html). Before I got into the addiction of steelhead I used to fish many lakes and ponds for trout. The setup that I talk about in that post is exactly how you should rig up to fish off the bottom. Also, the micro jigs and bobbers is deadly, Daniel and I hooked lots of trout in diamond lake last year using micro jigs!! Actually, I would probably fish anywhere in the country for any type of fish with a micro jig

Ah ha, I just stumbled onto the forum about using gulp eggs and that is very close to the way I was rigged but I was baited with Mike's "Assorted Cheese" marshmallows. They were cheap $1.99. Next time out you can bet I'll have Gulp in the box!
