Winter Steelheading Spots?
So I was wondering if anybody could tell me about some good spots that I could go to for some winter steelheading that is not terribly far away from eugene? I have heard good things about Siuslaw, Alsea and Siletz, which would all be good for me cause those are all relatively close by for days trips, but I don't really know where to start on them except for just driving down the highways and looking for pull- offs... any help would be great! Please and thank you!

The Siuslaw is a good place to start. Just head towards Florence on 126, and you will see a sign for Whitaker creek. Take the left and then left again. Lots of pull offs on that stretch of road, and lots of steelhead. It is pretty heavily fished, but if you hit it on the right day it doesn't seem to matter.

Sweet thanks guys! I know exactly where that is. Does anybody know any good spots on the Alsea? Was really wanting to check that out too. I hear it's doing pretty well

If you head over to the Alsea, check out Clemens park. Lots of good water down through that stretch. It gets crowded also, but there are usually fished caught in that stretch.
