We fish mostly the Alsea and it has plenty of good drift boat water. The Siuslaw is another good one. Also north of you are a few great rivers. Also the Yaquina River in your back yard has winter steelhead!

We did not do that well this year on the Alsea. We expected to catch more than we did. How did you do?

We catch 99% of our steelhead on jigs, pink worms and roe under floats. The other 1% we catch on spinners and drifting pink worms or roe.

We don't have a drift boat so we are stuck on the bank most of the time! We got into steelhead every trip out if I remember right, we just hoped to get more than we did. I think our best day combined was 6 total and a few missed, much worse than the year before. We fish the upper river until it gets low and clear then we move down and fish the lower section with floats. :D

We don't have any secret lures. You can see everything we use in our videos. I wish there was a hot lure, but it changes from day to day what they want to hit.
