I have been patiently scouting a local river that is new to me and have visited several hot spots that do have evidence of fishing pressure. Unfortunately, it wasn't the day that I was going to update my profile with a pic of a lunker. However, over the 3 hours that I was there, seven or eight steelies were landed, all of them were boyz!
Stats... Sunny morning just below freezing, temps / barometer were on the rise as well as streamflow as thaws were slightly in motion.
Is this a fluke

that only bucks were on the bite or do the prevailing conditions have any affect on this behavior ?
