Washington Rain Forest

Has any one fished the rivers up there? I am seriously thinking of a 10 day trip up there.

Its been awhile, but the Quinault, chehalis, Clallam, Jefferson..etc.... all fish the same as any other coastal river/stream. Its been 10 years or so since I fished there. Roe and sand shrimp were the slayers back then. Probably need to check the regs on any of the rivers on the WA coast as the wdfw seems to change them on a weekly basis :)

What part of the State you lookin to fish? The penn will be good here shortly, but the SW rivers a chock full by now. Once they drop into relative "shape" the fish will be hot on the bite for a couple days.

We are leaving for Forks Wa. Feb. 7 for 10 days fishing , I heard that the big natives are comming now. 10 lb and up. I will settle for a couple smaller ones . Will put fish report when I come back.

You are in the heart of the wild Bogeys. Those fish are whizz and vinegar thu and thru! If any fish will eat a worm, those OP fish will! Have at 'em!

Good luck. I have been trying to get up that way myself. I will know more in the next few days if I can make it happen.
