The expression is coming from going out five times without a steelhead. We fished three days in very high brown color, but we expected to at least hook a fish. Then we fished one day in good water but couldn't find any fish around (record low returns so far this year) and then the sixes river we fished in low clear water but had no luck either so when we each hooked a fish yesterday it was a huge confidence booster!! Now for the picture!



Micro Jigs were the ticket for the day! Keep an eye out for a cool video episode with both of the fish we caught, its probably our best yet!
