-Roseburg Sportsman's Show (UV Yarn)-

Postby hollywood on Fri Feb 18, 2011 12:07 am

Just wanted to let you guys know that our Yarn will be at the Roseburg Sportsman's Show this weekend. It is on display at the Backlash Tackle booth right across from the big fish tank! We had some fun tonight helping setup the display and we even got to try out our yarn on the steelhead and trout in the tank.

The steelhead were dumped in just before we got there but the trout had been in the tank for a day and had loosened up a bit. They were clobering the cerise/baby pink yarn ball we were fishing under a float (no scent). The cool thing to see when the fish were eating the yarn balls was how long they were holding on to them. Almost everytime a fish would suck in the yarn they would just chomp on it over and over and would not let go. I would finally have to tug on the rod to pop the yarn out of thier mouths. Also, many times the yarn would catch in their teeth and they could not get it out and even when I would pull on the rod the yarn would stay stuck! :D It was pretty fun playing around with the fish in there. I am sure they will sell a lot of yarn tomorrow when they put the yarn in the tank in front of all the people.

We finally get to do some fishing tomorrow so time to make us some yarnies and jigs! Good luck to everyone out fishing this weekend!
