Heard Patrick tied into a nice steelie tonight! All we hooked a squaw around 4-5lbs that we thought was a steelie til it came boatside.

Ill probably be hitting the applegate with Bailey this weekend...

And I did too! Nice fish decided to come up and jump and break my eight pound leader though :( But it sure was fun hooking into one finally!

And Shane, I might find my way over to that hole this weekend!

I think its time to pull out the waders and find some new holes not many people fish. Every hole I pulled off to the past two days had people in em, especially the tavern which has like 5 or 6 cars. LOL.

Ahh well, it was a nice day to be out!

On my way to the river this morning. Gonna be a nice day. Now if the fish just bite it would make it even better. "A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of working".

Well had one on at Griffin Park and lost him. Kinda caught me off guard. Did not hit like a normal fish would, dont think I got it set good. Had one more im sure was a fish but who knows. Saw one other caught. I only fished till noon. River had great color, but now with the rain looks like it might be awhile till im back out.

The river should be dropping. they've been allowing less water out of the dam the past couple days.

If the Applegate is low, just fish lower in the river. I don't think the Rogue ever gets to low.

Yeah, I am friends with the owners of Paradise Lodge Resort on the lower Rogue River. Zane Greys cabin is not to far from where Paradise is. If you ever have a chance to float the wild and scenic Rogue do it!!

Hey guys just thought i would let ya know that I spent 3 days floating the river. caught lots of 18-20 inchers. had plenty of strikes but a little slow on the hook set. seemed like they were hitting lite. Had a blast, that is an amazing float. (Roberson to Ennis) Saw a few keepers caught by other boats. We were just a a little to late seemed like every day. cant waut till we get some rain to bring up the water a little bit and MORE FISH!!!!!!!!! Hope you all did good yourself.

Doesnt the applegate receive its run of steelies in late febuary and all of march ? I have been connecting with fish on the rogue for about a month now, I actually caught a nice fish about 50 feet above the old foundation of gold rey dam, there are some nice nymphing slots above the old dam, north side of the river at the end of john day road, its really snaggy though. I also released a bright fish on the applegate on febuary 27
