I just got in two of the new Shimano Stradic CI4 2500 spinning reels for two up coming custom rods that I will be building. The rods will be NFC ST 1002-2 rods that are rated 6-10lb and they are 10 ft long! These bad boys only weigh 7oz and are nice and smooth. This combo will be around 11oz complete (rod and reel)!!!!!!!! We have some very cool custom rods in the works with unique features coming out shortly. Keep an eye out for pictures from our first prototype in about a week.

Shimano has done some great changes in the last years. The redesign of their spool stopped a lot of the line twist. You will have to look hard to find a better reel.

The 2 rods I built also feel the best with these reels on them. There is a pair of these in my future too!!

You will not be dissapointed! We need to meet up, I have the reels and you have the rods! We can split them and do some fishing.

Yea, I'm always behind in new toy categories, but I still stay ahead in the fish to the bank category , so to all the new toys.
