-McKenzie River UV Micro Jigs- Oregon Rod Reel and Tackle

Postby hollywood on Tue Aug 10, 2010 9:32 pm

I dropped off some new 100% UV Micro jigs designed for the McKenzie River summer steelhead. Black and white is a killer color combo for lures and jigs on the McKenzie and I have designed these to fish perfectly for these summer steelhead.

Here are two of the same images, the first in normal light and the second under a 365nm true blacklight!

The hackle used in these jigs has been in the making since winter steelhead season and it has taken this long to perfect it. There were a few problems I wanted to address when making our new materials. Have you ever taken a store bought jig, got it wet and laid it on a paper towel? If you do you will notice that the dye will bleed onto the paper towel. This is NOT a good thing when fishing with palmered jigs or jigs of any kind because over time they will fade and even worse bleed onto other colors. These black and white jigs can get wet over and over and will NEVER bleed. The black will be black and the white will stay white. :-BD

The black hackle is 100% UV and so is the white along with our UV enhanced eyeballs and UV flash. We also added rattles being that we catch more fish with rattling jigs and it makes for a fuller better looking jig in the water. You can get these exclusivley at Oregon Rod Reel and Tackle for a shrot time. These are the only jigs available that incorporate 100% UV material and are our most advanced micro jigs. Keep an eye out for more information on this new material as we incorporate it into all of our jig series! \M/
