Illionios and sixes
Well, Chad and I went out with a guide Tyson Crumley on the Illinois and the Sixes rivers. The Illinois is one of the most beautiful rivers I have ever fished. The water is crystal clear, and the sceenary was spectacular. Tyson is a real stand up guy and a pleasure to be around. The Illinois is especially nice for fly guys. The clear fast moving water makes it ideal for swinging a fly. Oh yea and the crowds, we did see one other guy in 4 miles of river. Thats pretty sweet when your used to fishing Lake Creek or the Siulsaw when you see one guy in every hole. If you like fishing smaller rivers, the Sixes is just what you've been looking for. The Sixes is a beautiful small river with lots of deep slots and corner holes for the fish to hold in. It also has lots of trees and bolders in the water which adds up to some pretty fishy looking water, and wading it is very easy. We had a great time and I would recomend Tyson as a guide to anyone. He guides the Rogue, Elk and Chetco also.

I'm in the process of editing a video for the guides section of the website. We have lots of beautiful pictures and video. We did hook a fish but the species surprised us! Anyway, I will let you guys know when it is done and you can check it out. We will definately be fishing the sixes river again soon, it is perfect for our type of fishing and had we been there a few days earlier probably would have hooked many fish. Those small coastal rivers are hard to time right when targeting steelhead! The river is only around ten miles long so the fish that come in when it rains move through quickly. Anyway, it was a blast and perfect weather, sunny and clear. Well maybe not perfect fishing weather
