You should change it if your float is leaning forward, but keep in mind that sometime the different currents can make it look like the float is dragging.

So then how do you make sure your jig is suspended within a foot or so of the bottom?

Practice. You will eventually be able to tell if it is the bottom or current affecting your float.

Hey guys new to the Fourm but have a friend that fishes the Applegate a ton. He says that they are around the mouth now but said dont wast your time up high till the mid part of feburay. If ya go keep posting your report. Im ready to go when I hear they are coming up. Brent
