I am finally going to switch to the fireline crystal and was wondering what lb I should get. Its for my steelhead float rod. Not sure if I should get 14 lb or 20lb. The 14 is equivalent to 6lb and I think the 20 is the same as 8lb mono. I will usually be running 8-12 lb floro for my leaders. Im just not sure what you gain or lose between the two weights.

I would get the 14 pound! If you are using the spiderwire invisibraid get the 10 pound both are similar lines. They are both way stronger than what they are rated at and they work perfectly for float fishing or drift fishing. Good luck!
