Alsea River

Anywhere near Corvallis that would be any good to fish right now? I am on the bank not even a pair of waders just looking to hook into some steel.
What did you catch it on?

You might try the Santiam. There should be some steel in there right now.

If you're looking to fish the alsea, you could try the hatchery. There's lots of bank spots there that don't require waders. I think its pretty low there right now though not sure if that is going to slow the action or not? I do know that its pretty heavily fished there too so I would go pretty early to get a decent spot.
