Just finished up a video episode from our last outing. We fished with micro jigs and small chunks of roe along with some other very small baits that got us seven hookups total with four fish to the bank. I thought I would try to see if our line (6 lb) was scaring the fish in these low clear conditions so I tied on some 2 lb leader and began to fish, not ten minutes later my float twitches and FISH ON!! I had my drag real loose and let the fish run almost out of the back of the hole before it stopped and shook its head. That was the end of it for me as the line broke on his head shakes. Its very difficult to land fish on very light line but it was fun trying anyway. This video is for members of steelheadstalkers.com website so go check it out!

Thanks John we are having a good time. We had a great day on Thursday hooking fish from the upper river almost down to tidewater and this next video will be around 20 minutes of just hooking and fighting fish!!!! I'm editing it now along with tying jigs

Also, I hear from a guy I went to high school with that there are piles of steelhead below rainy falls and that a few of his friends were hooking between 4 and 8 fish each!!! It looks like after this rain the Applegate and middle Rogue will be full of fish
