Just wanted to say hi from California where if the state can screw it up, it's already been done lol
great website and great posts. Alot of great information here.

I just started steel head fishing last year on the trinity. Our trip was for 3 days, just from the bank, but we had a blast.
One of my buddies got the only steel head (a hole around Douglas City) and I only got a nice trout, everyone else was skunked.
Going back this year in mid November, then to Oregon for the middle Rouge and the Nestucca in Dec-Jan

Love the trinity! Its a beautiful river and can be a blast to fish. Float fishing is a great way to get into them there. Welcome to the site!

Where do you live ? I'm not too far from the Trinity.

Nice to meet you all. Klamathsteel, I am further south, Modesto area in the central valley. We have some great trout streams/rivers here, but have to come north for the big boys (I don't ocean fish) usually
