I can't begin to explain how much information I have gotten from this single site, as compared to browsing the entire web. I am not opposed to any pointers being tossed my way. I understand that drift fishing is one of the more difficult techniques to master, but it seems I have more control and I can feel the nooks and cranny's a lot easier. Any suggestions on this. Or shoould I stick to Bobber fishing until I am more familiar with where to find the fish and know when I have gotten a strike.

I would say, keep trying both. Float fishing requires different types of water than does drift fishing. Generally speaking, good float water is going to be much slower than good drift fishing water. You will find spots where one technique is better suited than the other.
