Howdy, I have seen your videos on youtube over the last year or so and finally made it over to your site. It looks rad!!! I fish all over the pacific northwest and alaska, and colorado. I grew up on a farm 3 miles off the applegate and 4 miles off the rogue so ya could say I love to fly silver kites:) I mainly use flies 50/50 fly rod or spin with the good ol bug n bubble! I have noticed a lot more jig guys on the water and am really wanting to dabble in it but its hard ta leave what already works. I see from your vids that you have been making it down my way n hittin up the good ol llama wall aka what you guys were callin als hole:) if ya think thats fun ya aught ta join us for some cast and blast action. The fishin is not quite on in jan but the ducks are always good:) I have lots of private access as well for put ins and take outs maybe we could work out a little trade;) for some solid jiggin advice. Keep it reel and your lines tight, cause theres nothin quite like flyin those silver kites, Ben Bickle

How did the cast and blast go?

Hey sorry it took so long ta get back it went great on the ducks but just some nice big cuts and some descent bows not steelies. We just got a lot a water through the system this last week and its about time for it to start hammering off. hope you all are headin this way soon.

We are planning a trip at the end of the month.

Well I hope ya all made it down before the end of Feb. It was really hammerin off there for the last two weeks. We started gettin a solid amount of water again though the last 4 days and it looks like we will continue to keep getting it for the next 3 ta 5 days with on and off showers. The Gate only takes 24 ta 36 hours to clear up depending on what happens up in the Mts. Before this last system hit though it was red hot there for a bit. I will be checkin on here more often now that I'm done coaching for the season. Winter sports man, the longest season of the year:)

Looks like this Wednesday and Thursday we will be on the river! Hopefully the water cooperates with us.
