Postby hollywood on Tue Oct 26, 2010 11:28 pm

We would like to welcome John Strenk to our team of sponsors here! He has been around from the begining and even catches a few fish from time to time. :)) If anyone has any questions on reel repair and maintenance just get a hold of him. He can make an old, worn out reel perform like new again! Again, welcome. :-BD

I have known John for some time and he is first class all the way. He know's how to fix your equipment and does it well. You can't do better. Now how many reels do I get fixed John? :D

In all seriousnes John gets all my work. He has been a member of Salmon Trout and Steelhead for several years and has done lots of work for the site.

Does anyone know of anyone in Eugene that could fix up my old spinning reel? Its in working order but when you are using a spinner or just reeling slowly in general you can feel the gears grabbing. It always catching when the spool gets to the top or bottom (I cant remember which one now). I actually got online and checked out Chads video about it and being that mine was an older and cheaper Mitchell reel, the components were quite different and something just doesn't feel right in there anymore.

I would send John (Reeltech) a PM about your reel. I am sure he can make it work like new again!
