I don't know why I love roe so much, when I smell it it just reminds me of catching fish!!! My wife wants to hit me when I say it smells good :mrgreen:

Those eggs are perfect for summer steelhead and I would use a little big bigger chunk for winters but that size works too.

Im still trying to decide if I like boraxed eggs or a wet cure we use.

Borax and salt works really well for steelhead! I hear Ammermans steelhead cure works well too. I like to throw something a little different at them sometimes.

Im going to try to float some eggs this winter... So I'll probably be doing alot of float fishing and some plunking.

I think i'll have enough eggs

I would say float fish the applegate a lot, the rogue is much harder to float fish especially in the winter! Go to the tavern hole and work that area and learn it real well. Its a perfect place to perfect float fishing plus its not to far from where you live. If you spent everyday that you could fish this winter in that one area you would catch more steelhead than you can imagine. Ill let you know one of these times when I'm out there this winter and show you a few things about float fishing.

If I drove I probably would.. But Im hoping to get my dad out more this winter and he was talking about fishing the applegate more...

A guy said he killed em at the tavern hole last year just drifting globug with a lil scent.
