My favorite line for float fishing micro jigs! I use the 10lb but 8lb would work good too, floats nice and is very strong. I use it on my light micro jigs rod and my medium spinning all around steelhead rod. I use hydrofloat on my baitcaster float rod. The crystal is great suff!!

Have any of you guys tried it?

Do you ever notice when especially when the fireline is newer, that sliding floats don't slide as fast as they would on other lines. It seems like the line is "stickier" than mono, spectra braids, or hydro float. I had a problem with this the other day.

No, I never noticed that but I use pretty small diameter (10lb, 14lb). But when it is new it has some kind of almost waxie feeling that seems to come off after some use. My floats have pretty big holes as well, so maybe with different types of floats it could do that but its probably only until that coating wears off.

I have fished the Crystal and yes I do like it alot. Caught lots of fish with it too!!! No complaints.
Funny how everyone has their opinions about braid. I for one think Power Pro is the best. To each his own I guess ;) Thats why they make different kinds!!!

Have any of you guys used the Original Fused?

Picked some up in 20lb Flame Green today... Gonna try it out for salmon since I was having a HARD time seeing my line the other day...

Seems almost like a stiff mono

DO NOT... I repeat... DOOOO NOOOOT use this stuff on your baitcasting reels... If theres a kink in the line and you whip it out there... It will snap like 2lb test... For now on.. It goes on the spinning reels.

What are you talking about and which line are you talking about Greg? I have used fireline crystal on my big float rod for steelhead and for salmon without having it break especially on a cast! Let us know.

Weird, well you probably got a bad batch or one that is past its prime! I say return it and give it another try, at least you didn't lose a steelhead or salmon on the line, sounds like you were just casting at small children or animals!

Sufix Performance Braid - Summer: 10lb. Moss Green, Winter: 20lb. Hi Viz Yellow is my favorite super braid for spinning reel float fishing. Casts and feeds off the reel for extended floats better than any super braid I've tried and I've tried a lot of super braids. Best overall preforming super braid I have fished.
